Overland Series: What’s New For MY2027
Sep 10, 2026The Ember Overland Series continues to evolve for model year 2027 with a new customer-inspired floor plan and thoughtful upgrades designed to improve comfort, convenience, flexibility, and the overall ownership experience.
Leading the way for model year 2027 is the all-new 220MSL, a no-slide, tandem CURT® Independent Suspension system travel trailer developed in direct response to customers asking for a larger version of the popular 190MSL. Across the lineup, the 2027 Ember Overland Series also gains an integrated heat pump in the Furrion Chill Cube, refined cabinetry, new composite entry steps, expanded Bar-V™ door on select models, and other model-specific enhancements.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s new for 2027!
All-New 220MSL: More Space, Same Overland Versatility
Since the introduction of the 190MSL in 2022, customers have been asking Ember for a larger, tandem version with a walk-around bed. The new Overland Series 220MSL answers that request.
The no-slide 220MSL features tandem CURT® independent trailing-arm suspension, a walk-around residential queen Murphy bed, solid-surface countertops throughout, standard MAX SOLAR capability, and the EmberTrack® bunk/desk/storage system with the Bar-V™ door for convenient indoor/outdoor space.
The 220MSL also features the versatile EmberFlex™ Dinesk™, which can be configured for dining, bar-style seating, or workspace use.
The result is a floor plan for campers who love the adaptable nature of the 190MSL but want additional living space, capacity, and the towing characteristics of a tandem-axle platform.
Added Heat Pump: More Climate Control Flexibility
The 18,000 BTU Furrion Chill Cube™ variable-speed air conditioner with remote control continues for 2027, but this year it gains an important new feature: an integrated heat pump.
The heat pump gives owners another option for managing cooler temperatures, adding even more versatility to the Overland Series climate-control system.
This addition complements the Overland Series’ existing extended-season features, including the Truma Combi system, enclosed and heated underbelly, thermostatically controlled tank heaters, and Truma Gold Standard Cold Weather Certification across every floor plan.
Soft-Close Cabinetry: A More Refined Interior
New soft-close cabinet doors and drawers bring a more residential feel to the 2027 Overland Series.
The lineup also receives magnetic cabinet catches for secure closure throughout the RV. These small but meaningful refinements improve the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and storage spaces owners interact with every day.
MORryde Composite Entry Steps: Improved Everyday Usability
For 2027, the Overland Series receives MORryde composite entry steps.
Designed to provide a stable entry while reducing weight associated with the step assembly, the upgraded steps improve one of the most frequently used areas of any travel trailer.
Bar-V™ Door: Now Standard on EmberTrack® Models
The Bar-V™ door with integrated screen and thermal shade is now standard on EmberTrack®-equipped Overland Series models. This new door provides an additional window in the door area, allowing the customer to view the outside from the EmberTrack® area without having to open the door.
The oversized opening provides convenient exterior access to the flexible EmberTrack® area while creating additional ventilation and campsite connectivity.
Depending on the adventure, EmberTrack® space can be configured for sleeping, cargo for bikes and other outdoor gear, pets, remote work, hobbies, or additional living space. The integrated screen and thermal shade add even more versatility, privacy, and temperature control.
Redesigned Countertops: Updates to the 190MSL and 240TKR
The popular 190MSL and 240TKR receive redesigned solid-surface kitchen countertops for model year 2027.
The updated designs bring a fresh look and functional workspace to two Overland Series floor plans known for their flexibility and adventure-ready layouts.
MAX SOLAR: Off-Grid Capability Remains Standard
The MAX SOLAR system continues as standard equipment throughout the 2027 Ember Overland Series, giving owners greater flexibility when camping away from traditional electrical hookups.
Whether boondocking, exploring remote destinations, or simply looking for greater electrical independence, MAX SOLAR remains a key part of the Overland Series’ off-grid capability.
CURT® Independent Suspension: Adventure-Ready Capability Continues
Every 2027 Overland Series continues to build on one of the product line’s defining features: CURT® independent suspension.
Combined with premium composite construction, dual-pane acrylic caravan windows, MAX SOLAR capability, and flexible interiors, the suspension system helps make the Overland Series ready for adventures that extend beyond the traditional campground.
Purposeful Refinement for 2027
The 2027 Ember Overland Series is about more than simply adding new features. Each enhancement reflects Ember’s commitment to listening to owners and dealers and continuously improving the RV ownership experience.
From the customer-inspired 220MSL to the newly added heat pump, refined cabinetry, new entry steps, and standard Bar-V™ doors on EmberTrack® models, model year 2027 gives Overland Series owners even more comfort, flexibility, and capability.
More ways to explore. More ways to use your space. And more freedom to make every adventure your own.
