Which Ember Floorplan is Right for Me?

Ember’s growing lineup of Overland and Overland Micro travel trailers are built for those that want to venture far from the beaten path. Our trailblazing owners are passionate about camping where they want, when they want, with few limitations.

With overall lengths from 12’10” to 26’1”, dry weights from 2,020 to 5,690 pounds, and 10 different floorplans, Ember has something for just about everyone. And while our floorplans vary widely, much of their core equipment is the same. Each of the models listed below boasts composite flooring, five sided aluminum construction, a Curt independent suspension, an integrated parking brake, a unique front storage box, and much, much more.

Ember Overland Series

Ember Overland Series 170MBH

The 170MBH is a great option for adventurous families that need bunk beds, but still want a compact trailer that is easy to tow. With a Murphy Bed and jack-knife sofa, this floorplan is incredibly versatile. The 170MBH can sleep five comfortably with all beds deployed, but also offers spacious seating for the whole family during the day.  The lower bunk in the back corner of the coach folds up and has an exterior storage door, so packing the kid’s bikes is easy.

Ember Overland Series 170MRB

The 170MRB is built for couples that want room to stretch their legs, but also need plenty of storage space for clothes and gear. This floorplan’s ample wardrobe, linen storage, and spacious bathroom make it perfect for those who like to take extended trips. The interior kitchen offers plenty of counter space for food prep and a coffee station. Those that prefer to cook outside will love the outdoor kitchen with optional three-burner griddle.

Ember Overland Series 171FB

If you want a compact couple’s coach with a permanent bed and plenty of floorspace, then make sure you check out the 171FB. The jack-knife sofa in the slideout is comfortable for everyday use, but is also a terrific option for those that might occasionally need a third bed. The hidden wardrobe behind the television keeps clutter out of the main living area and is useful for longer trips. If you are camping for several weeks at a time you will also love the spacious bathroom with 32” radius shower.

Ember Overland Series 190MDB

If you are looking for a floorplan with spacious double over double bunks and no slideout, then look no further than the 190MDB. The double removable tables are a popular feature in this unit. You can deploy the tables at dinner time and then remove them when done so you have plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The indoor and outdoor kitchens also provide flexibility for those that love to cook when they camp. The kayak/bike door (also available on the 191MDB, 191MSL, and 221MDB) makes it easy to bring along your favorite gear.

Ember Overland Series 191MDB

The 191MDB is the same length as the 190MDB but the slideout creates more interior space. The legless booth dinette on this model is a great place to share a meal or spend a rainy night playing games with your kids. Those that have to work while traveling will also appreciate the this dinette’s comfortable seating and nearby outlets. The bathroom on the 191MDB is also surprisingly spacious for a coach that clocks in at under 23 feet. Indoor and outdoor kitchens create flexible options for those that love to cook.

Ember Overland Series 191MSL

Ember’s 191MSL (aka “the missile”) offers one of the most  flexible floorplans in the RV industry. Those needing office space, a gear locker, a bunkhouse (or all three!) should take a good look. The repositionable Embertrack 5 Track Bunk/Storage System makes all of these things possible, and more. The slideout in the main living area creates plenty of floorspace, and the jack-knife sofa adds even more flexibility for those that need an extra bed. Gear junkies and/or those working while on the road will rejoice when they step into this unit.

Ember Overland Series 201FBQ

The 201FBQ is the most spacious couple’s coach in the Overland Series lineup and the only floorplan with a dedicated north-south bed. It is, essentially, a stretched, widened, and enhanced version of the 171FB with dual Curt independent suspension systems–an industry first for Ember. Those looking for maximum living space in a rig that is also equipped for off road travel should look no further. The kitchen and bathroom are both spacious, and there is plenty of interior and exterior storage space for those taking extended trips. The jack-knife sofa is comfortable for lounging at night and can be turned into an extra bed as needed.

Ember Overland Series 221MDB

The 221MDB is the largest family coach in the Overland Series lineup. It is, essentially, a stretched, widened, and enhanced version of the 191MDB with dual Curt independent suspension systems–an industry first for Ember.  Double over double bunk beds offer plenty of space, even for older kids–while the combination of a jack-knife sofa and Murphy Bed create flexible seating for the whole family. The indoor and outdoor kitchens also offer plenty of room for cooking at the campground. The Murphy Bed area on this floorplan offers dual nightstands, dual wardrobes, and an overhead cabinet so mom and dad have plenty of space for their clothing and personal items.

Ember Overland Micro Series

Ember Overland Micro Series ROK

The ROK (rear outside kitchen) is a great option for campers who love to cook but want a compact trailer that can be towed by a wide variety of vehicles. With an included 12V cooler and an optional griddle and plenty of counter space for food prep, this covered rear kitchen packs a punch. The futon sofa and mobile desk/table can be used for work or leisure during the day, and converted into a comfortable bedroom at night. Thule roof racks, a front gear box, and optional rooftop tent (RTT) make this rig ready for any adventure.

Ember Overland Micro Series ROL

The ROL (rear outside locker) replaces the ROK’s rear kitchen with a cavernous storage locker that still includes 120V and 12V power outlets. Campers with gear-centric hobbies like biking, surfing, fishing, or rock climbing will love being able to bring all of their equipment with them without compromise.  The main room of the ROL is a carbon copy of the ROK–with a futon bed and mobile desk/table that make the space flexible and comfortable. Similar to the ROK, Thule roof racks, a front gear box, and optional rooftop tent (RTT) make this rig ready for any adventure.
